The Sewing Course and Exhibition was provided my landlord in London. They are a charity and were excellent at helping their residents when needed. They created courses to help their tenants to retrain, find work and become part of the community, and at no cost.
I am truly blessed to have had the opportunity to have such fantastic training. The teacher was a real professional and taught us well. She even taught us how to run a business making soft furnishings.
Its taken me many years to get to that point where I feel I am able to sell my creations and I had so much fun on this course, it is one of my most treasured opportunities that I have ever experienced. I have been able to make so many things from the fabrics and sewing materials that I inherited, and that means these things are no longer sitting in boxes waiting to be put to use. My Mum would be proud I’m sure 😉
