My client wanted the cushions to be reversible, so that they can be changed depending on the mood and the type of event that the cafe is hosting.
Initially my client chose a sparkly fabric, which looked amazing, after cutting all the fabric and starting to sew the pieces together, it turned out that the sparkly fabric started to leak glitter! And everywhere! The more I sewed it, the more it leaked glitter….
So I had to stop, and use the other fabrics that I was provided to remake the shapes and start again. Eventually I managed to get the cushion shapes cut so that there was enough for the desired outcome, of being reversible.
The piping that I was given was also not wide enough for this kind of work, so I used piping that I already had which has a High Viz effect, and reflects in the light, so this will look amazing if and when any party and disco lights are used.
This job took me 10 days to complete. It was a difficult but highly rewarding job, and my client was also very happy.
